With attractions in North Wales you'll discover gardens to explore, museums to visit, zoos, aquariums and farm parks to wander and discover.

Our mild (and yes, sometimes wet) climate lends an exotic touch to some of our coastal gardens. Inland they are havens of shelter and wildlife.

Speaking of wildlife, you'll find adventure and farm parks as well as zoos and aquariums here too. Learn about local marine life or venture further and discover animals from across the world. Prefer to see the "wild" in wildlife? Boat trips will help you spot seals, porpoises and dolphins. Bird-lovers will want to train their binoculars on our sea cliffs and open countryside.

Heritage railways are among the highlights of attractions in North Wales. They twist around our hills and valleys and include the longest narrow gauge in Britain as well as a historic line that once brought slate from the quarries to the sea - and the rest of the world. There's another, recently extended line at Llangollen where you'll also find Thomas the Tank Engine.

The classic view of North Wales is from a castle turret. Climb them at Conwy, Caernarfon or Harlech, or wander round others at Rhuddlan, Beaumaris and Flint. Our museums and galleries are among other attractions in North Wales that bring to life local history - great places to spend a rainy day.
