Railway 200 is a national campaign to celebrate 200 years of the birth of the modern railway across the UK. This includes community events, STEM activities, heritage railways, skills and careers initiatives and a focus on innovation, technology and sustainability.

A commemorative exhibition train 'Inspiration' is touring across the country, and we have committed to hosting it, with Network Rail, in Llandudno station between 15th and 18th November 2025.

Inspiration is a touring STEM exhibition on rails, created in partnership with the National Railway Museum, and designed to spark curiosity and excitement in students aged 9–14 (Years 5 – 9). Across three immersive carriages, students will explore:

• Railway Firsts – Discover the groundbreaking innovations that shaped railway history.
• Wonderlab on Wheels – Dive into hands-on science and engineering activities that bring railway technology to life.
• Your Railway Future – Explore the wide range of careers in rail, including some of the lesser-known roles that are shaping the future of transport.
