Year-Round Adventure at SC2 Rhyl

The hugely popular venue managed and operated by DLL (Denbighshire Leisure Ltd) is their flagship attraction and includes a fantastic indoor waterpark with breath-taking flume rides, beach style paddling and interactive play features; an outdoor Splash Pad, perfect for younger children and toddlers to enjoy the water; Ninja TAG an exciting, indoor, multi-level assault course; Adventure Play, a dinosaur themed play area, and a smaller Rainforest Play area, located within the popular Rainforest Diner.  Offering the perfect day out for families and situated right on the North Wales coast, SC2 really does have something for everyone.

SC2’s fabulous waterpark is the perfect example of this, with everything a water lover needs whether they’re a thrill seeker or a paddler.  The indoor pool has been designed and created for families of all ages and is perfect for parents with toddlers, teenagers, and all ages in between.  The interactive play features will keep little ones entertained while a choice of exciting flumes for older children and parents means that SC2 offers the perfect combination of thrills and fun in a safe, welcoming environment. 

The water confidence area is perfect for parents and toddlers to enjoy a paddle and a splash about, and in this colourful setting, younger children can develop their confidence before moving on to the bigger splash features.  The lower levels of the fantastic Piranha Play area are great for younger visitors with lots of interactive water features to explore.  Two toddler slides lead off into the water confidence area, which with its beach entry, allows non-swimmers to enjoy themselves without fear of getting out of their depth. For older, more adventurous visitors, higher levels of Piranha Play provide all the fun needed.  Children can explore the structure and have endless fun soaking themselves and their friends with water cannons, tipping troughs and jets.  At the same time, from above, shark showers, waterwheels and tipping buckets will be spraying and splashing them as they make their way towards to the slides.  Younger visitors will love the Water Wheel.  Little hands will quickly work out how turning the wheels makes the spokes spin and buckets fill up. But watch out when those buckets start to tip and the fish start to spray, that’s when the fun really starts!  As water fills the channels below there’s plenty of opportunity to dip in and splash!

For older children and adults, SC2 offers an unforgettable and exciting experience with its fantastic choice of flumes and slides.  From the moment you climb to the top, until that huge splash into the water, there’s no better feeling! So if you’re looking for speed, the Anaconda is the fastest flume in the park!  Ideal for daredevils and thrill seekers, the Anaconda is a high speed wave ride which takes place in complete darkness and sees the rider emerge from the snake’s gaping jaws! Next it’s on to the Boomerang – grab a rubber ring and speed down either on your own or in pairs! Shoot down on an inflatable tube and let gravity gently sway you back and forth until coming to rest in the centre of the slide.  If you’re looking for a race, then look no further than the Speedster!  The battle to reach the bottom starts there and it’s definitely quicker to go down than up!

If you prefer to stay dry, Ninja Tag is SC2’s exhilarating, indoor multi-level assault course, which tests your skill, fitness and bravery - all in one exciting experience.  With twenty minutes games, 21 challenges, 4 levels and 80 targets, you can challenge yourself or your friends, as you aim to hit every target!  Your electronic wristband will keep score for you and once your game is complete, your total will appear on the main Ninja TAG leader board.  Can you become the overall leader?  The challenge is on! 

The Ninja TAG course includes a whole range of fun challenges for you to overcome!  Wade through the Ball Pool Zone, you might be able to reach the bottom, but can you hit the hidden target at the same time?  Race up the Quarter Pipe to hit the target and slide back down, but make sure you don’t miss the red!  Swing across the Burma Rope Bridge and hit the targets as you cross.  Whatever you do, don’t look down!  Use your strength and speed to reach the top of the Cargo Climb, hitting all the targets as you go!  Get to the other side of the Spider Wall without touching the floor and also hitting every target! Bounce your way across the Ball Hop, testing your balance and hitting all those targets! Wriggle through the Sea of Ropes to get to the other side!  Cross the Traverse Wall, a climbing wall like no other and battle your friends through the mega see through balls within the Giant Ball Pit! 

SC2’s Outdoor Splash Pad is designed to let visitors make the most of the sunshine.  Centred around a paddling pool, the water is only 30cm at its deepest and ideal for younger children, toddlers and infants.  The Splash Pad is full of bright, colourful and easily accessible features and will keep the little ones entertained whilst at the same time, building their water confidence.

Younger children can have fun with the water canons and water buckets, whilst learning how to control the water webs and water cascades. And of course, no day would be complete without a zoom down the Paradise slide!

SC2 indoor adventure play is the best place to meet some friendly dinosaurs whilst exploring the exciting rainforest coloured play area!  Youngsters can follow the dinosaur footprints through the jungle and into the Jurassic themed soft play area, hosting a range of bright and fun characters, slides, ropes and puzzles to give little ones the chance to explore the wilderness.

Even the most energetic visitors need to refuel and the Rainforest Diner has a wide variety of delicious meal deals and great value dishes on offer, including a fabulous range of kids meals. Located within the Rainforest Diner you can also find our free Rainforest Soft Play Area.  Designed for under 4’s this is the perfect spot for little to ones to play while parents enjoy a coffee and a rest!
