Llandudno Snowsports Centre: Home to Wales’ Longest Toboggan Run

The Great Orme is one of Llandudno’s most iconic landmarks, famous for its tramway, cable cars and sweeping coastal views. Tucked into its slopes you’ll also find the Llandudno Snowsports Centre, home to a unique attraction that’s been getting plenty of attention both in person and online. At 780 metres, the track is the longest of its kind in Wales, with a half-mile route of bends and straights that carries riders down the hillside before looping back to the start. Riders sit in individual carts and control their own speed with a hand brake. Children aged 4 to 8 must ride with an accompanying adult over the age of 16,while children over 8 and adults can ride on their own. The track is only open in dry conditions.

The toboggan has become a highlight, but the Snowsports Centre has been part of the town’s leisure landscape for decades. Alongside the track, visitors will find a dry ski slope used for skiing and snowboarding, sno-tubing, and a 9-hole alpine-themed mini golf course. The Alpine Bar and Kitchen overlooks the bay, serving food and refreshments for those looking to make a full day of their visit.
