It’s official we are 4th on the world list of best regions to visit and the only destination in the UK to make the list. North Wales claimed one of the top spots for many reasons not limited to the wide variety of activities, attractions and some of the finest food and drink all surrounded by stunning scenery from the rolling hills and valleys to the rugged mountains and long sandy beaches.

Lonely Planet's editorial director, said: "We included north Wales in this year's list of top 10 regions because it deserves to be recognised on the global stage. North Wales is a gem and should be on every traveller's radar."

Some of the North Wales activities that were given a mention were, Surf Snowdonia a revolutionary world-first inland surf lagoon nestled in the Conwy Valley. Zip world in Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda, hosting the fastest zip line in the world and the longest in Europe! and the huge subterranean playground of Bounce Below with massive trampolines installed in a disused cavern at Blaenau Ffestiniog.

You’re missing out if North Wales in not on your holiday list this year!
