About

Welcome to Brook Cottage Shepherd Huts, a Visit Wales Gold Award-winning, adults-only glamping retreat set within three peaceful acres on the Llŷn Peninsula National Landscape in North Wales. Tucked between the coast and mountains, just north of Pwllheli, it's a peaceful base for exploring this beautiful corner of Wales.

Our five individually designed, self-contained huts overlook a natural wildlife lake, with beautiful views towards Yr Eifl (The Rivals). Each sleeps two adults and has its own character, while offering everything you need for a comfortable escape: a private en-suite shower room, double bed, fully equipped kitchen, dining space and cosy wood-burning stove.

Outside, every hut has its own private seating area with fire pit/BBQ – perfect for al fresco suppers, watching the wildlife or stargazing under the dark skies of the Llŷn Peninsula. Each also has dedicated parking close by.

Choose your hut

Joan - Our largest and most luxurious traditional shepherd's hut, with a spacious, beautifully designed interior. Dog-friendly.

Susanna - A characterful poacher's hut with a striking designer interior, transformed by Banjo Beale on BBC One's Interior Design Masters. Dog-friendly.

Angharad - A cosy poacher's hut inspired by the landscapes and adventures of North Wales, perfect for returning to after a day exploring. Dog-friendly.

Marared - An intimate and romantic gypsy hut, ideal for couples looking for a peaceful hideaway surrounded by nature. Pet-free.

Elen - A cosy, characterful gypsy hut with beautiful views across the wildlife lake towards the mountains. Pet-free.

Bed linen and towels are provided, along with complimentary goats' milk soap and Fairtrade tea, coffee and hot chocolate, so you can settle straight in and feel at home.

Three huts - Joan, Susanna and Angharad - welcome one small to medium, well-behaved dog (up to 25kgs), and Brook Cottage holds the Visit Wales Pets Welcome Award. Marared and Elen are pet-free.

Explore the Llŷn Peninsula

The Llŷn Peninsula is renowned for its beaches, mountains and spectacular coastline, with more than 90 miles of Wales Coast Path to explore. Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park is also within easy reach, making Brook Cottage a lovely base for walking, exploring North Wales or simply slowing down beside the lake.
