Nessie Ramm is a contemporary artist who paints the road verges of Britain in botanical detail on to metal road signs.
She is a fellow of the Society of Botanical Artists and in 2025 is working with Plantlife UK as their first Creative Friend.
Her work conveys the unexpected beauty of road verges, and emphasises the value of these unloved spaces as wild habitat. Her paintings are richly joyful - but also a deep call for us to renew our relationship with nature.
