Moel Siabod via Daear Ddu Ridge Guided Hike with Ilaria
An absolute favourite of mine! (I do say this a lot, but its always true :))
Join me for an exciting and rewarding adventure as we tackle Moel Siabod via the Daear Ddu Ridge, a thrilling route that offers breathtaking views, a satisfying scramble, and the chance to experience one of Snowdonia's quieter but stunning peaks.
Route Overview:
Distance: ~6 miles (9.5 km) round trip
Ascent: ~870m
Time: 5-6 hours
Difficulty: Hard
Start time: 9am
Details on meeting point will be in confirmation email upon booking. Our journey begins near Capel Curig, where we'll follow a scenic path through woodlands and along streams, gradually ascending towards the base of Daear Ddu Ridge. The real adventure begins as we scramble along the ridge, where you'll use both hands and feet to navigate the rocky terrain.
As we reach the summit of Moel Siabod (872m), we'll be rewarded with panoramic views across Snowdonia, including the Snowdon range, Glyders, and Carneddau. After soaking in the views and taking a well-deserved break, we'll descend via a gentler path, completing our circular route back to the car park.
️ Highlights:
An exhilarating hands-on scramble up Daear Ddu Ridge
Breathtaking views across Snowdonia from the summit
A quieter, more adventurous route compared to the busier peaks
