From Ruthin: Take the A494 towards Mold through Llanbedr DC. After two sets of tight bends on the hill, our right turn is about ½ mile ahead—approximately 20 metres after the second right-hand layby.

From Mold: Take the A494 towards Ruthin. Around 3 miles after Llanferres, pass over Clwyd Gate and look for a left turn about ¼ mile ahead. If you reach a layby on the left and a road bend, you have gone too far.

Wernog Wood aims to nurture excellence in craftsmanship within an inspiring rural environment where creativity, nature, and community intertwine.

Set within 22 acres of woodland in the Clwydian Range, Wernog Wood offers year-round courses in both traditional and contemporary crafts for adults. Taught by practising artists and craftspeople, sessions range from single-day workshops to immersive week-long experiences, welcoming everyone from complete beginners to seasoned makers. Home-cooked lunches are included, and overnight visitors can camp in the wildflower meadow or stay in the cosy Red Shed cabin.

"Our annual Collective is a wonderful opportunity for the public to meet the exceptional craftspeople who make Wernog Wood so special," says Claire Acworth, co-founder and jeweller who will also be exhibiting her work. "These are working artisans at the top of their fields who generously share their knowledge with our students throughout the year. The weekend gives everyone a chance to see their incredible work and perhaps be inspired to try something new."
