About
Dolydd is an award-winning campsite, having won best facilities in the caravan and camping club 2020 competition. It is an easily accessible campsite for large vehicles, located on the outskirts of the picturesque port of Cemaes Bay and is a 10 minute pedestrianised walk down to the golden sandy beach and local shops. From Dolydd there are sea views over the village, and the Isle of Man and Cumbrian mountain ranges can be observed on a clear day. The village has won the Wales in bloom competition several times and boasts the famous fish and chips, cafes, tea rooms, traditional family butcher, convenience shop, art shop, community and heritage shop, chemist and hair styling studios. The Traditional pubs and taverns serve draft, real ales and homemade food using locally sourced ingredients. The beer gardens are popular and acoustic session are hosted several times a month. Other attractions include the Harbour, two beaches, Anglesey costal path route, the time and tide bell on the beach, boat and fishing trips, historic Llanbadrig church, Porthwen redundant brickworks, Parys copper mountain, Cemlyn RSPB all accessible through walking the many miles of breath-taking AONB costal path or a regular bus service.
