'A Silver Spoon' is a new opera. It is the first opera to look at the love story of Princess Diana and Dodi.

A Silver Spoon follows the story of two wanna-be East End gangsters and their plan to steal Princess Diana's jewellery from a forthcoming Royal exhibition. It tells the love story of Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed. It touches on the story of our Queen and how she has perhaps changed through her reign. It considers privilege, friendship, modern royalty and being born with or without a silver spoon?

Anniversary - it is 25th anniversary of the tragic crash when Diana and Dodi sadly died.
Following in the footsteps of real historic women in opera, eg Handel featuring Cleopatra in his opera Julius Caesar (Caesar and Cleopatra in Egypt) and Britten's Gloriana celebrating Elizabeth II coronation in 1953, (Britten's Gloriana is inspired by the tumultuous relationship between Queen Elizabeth I and the Earl of Essex, Robert Devereux.)
