Road Directions

Using SatNav, LL23 7NU will bring you to our area. We are then signposted from the main road (A4212).

From Llangollen follow the A5 to Corwen, 1 ½ miles through Corwen at the traffic signals take the left turning to Bala (A494) and follow the road for approx 9 miles. As you enter Bala, turn right towards Trawsfynydd (A4212). Drive 3 miles to the village of Frongoch, just 1 mile past Frongoch we are signposted on the left.

From Bangor head for Betws y Coed on the A5. Follow the A5 out of Betws Y Coed (signposted Llangollen) for approx 12 miles, until you take the right turn onto B4501 signposted Bala. After approx 8 miles on this road, turn right at T-junction onto A4212 towards Trawsfynydd. Around 1 mile up this road we are signposted on the left.

From Aberystwyth head through Machynlleth, and then onto the A478 towards Corris. Descend to “Cross Foxes Inn” and at the T-junction turn left onto A470, follow the road towards Dolgellau and turn right onto the A494 signposted Bala. Follow the road for approx 17 miles, you should see the lake on your right. Drive through Bala High Street and before the bridge take the left turn towards Trawsfynydd onto the A4212. Drive 3 miles to the village of Frongoch, just 1 mile past Frongoch we are signposted on the left.

Public Transport Directions

By Rail - The nearest main railway stations are Chester, Shrewsbury, Aberystwyth and Bangor. Regional services are available to Barmouth, Betws y Coed and Wrexham. Travel by road is then essential. The main stations are about 1 to 1 ½ hours from the National White Water Centre.
