Sit back, relax and take in the beautiful sights of Beaumaris, a stunning seaside town on the Isle of Anglesey.
As soon as you arrive in the town you will be taken back by its beauty. Pastel colour houses provide plenty of character, whilst the glistening sea and pristine beaches combine to make the perfect setting. A short walk beside the sea and you’ll arrive at Beaumaris’s pier. From the pier, you can set sail with one of the many boat trip providers to nearby Puffin Island, an island with a wealth of birds and seals – you might even catch a glimpse of a dolphin or two! Back on dry land and you can stroll along the coast with some fish and chips or even go shopping in one of the many independent shops.
For history lovers, Beaumaris Castle is a must visit. The castle is most famous for being Edward I’s unfinished masterpiece. Built in the same period as Conwy, Harlech and Caernarfon – Beaumaris Castle was the unlucky one – failing completion due to a lack of money and supplies. But don’t let that put you off visiting. The castle is still an incredible sight, and is great fun to explore – it even has a moat which is still in operation today.
The town has plenty of great accommodation. B&B’s, guesthouses and hotels provide superb serviced accommodation. For a home away from home, the self-catering properties that lie just outside the town could be the ideal choice.
For great holidays, visit Beaumaris!
