Southbourne, a non smoking guest house still offering traditional values.Successfully run by friendly proprietors Margaret and Stephen for the past 27 years. Bed, breakfast, opional evening meals prepared and cooked by Stephen a highly experienced and qualified chef using fresh produce. Traditional roast dinners and old fashioned puddings are our speciality along with our freshly cooked breakfasts. All our rooms are en-suite with hospitality tray and freeview TV's. Comfortable guest lounge to relax in, enclosed rear car park, unlimited street parking. Generous discount for half board weekly bookings. All this aims to make your stay with us happy and memorable.

  • SOUTHBOURNE GUEST HOUSE DISABILITY ACCESS STATEMENT * Access to the guesthouse from street is flat. * Access from rear car park is flat except for a very small step up to front garden. * Threshold and one step from front porch into hall. * Staircase with 17 steps to first floor, hand rail on one side (stairs 32” wide and 10” deep). * All rooms en-suite but no grab rails. Rooms are situated on 1st and 2nd floor. * When a menu is provided, choices can be given verbally or written for guests with sight or hearing difficulties. * Smoking is prohibited and no pets are accommodated for. * Visitors lounge with TV and dining room are on the ground floor. * Rental of a wheelchair or any disability aids can be arranged prior to arrival. Costs will be added to final bill. * Doorways are approximately 29” wide. All doors have self-closures on them as fire regulations. * An audible fire alarm is fitted to the property. In the event of a fire or any emergency the owners have the responsibility to ensure that all guests are evacuated. Emergency lighting is fitted on landings and hallway. * Special dietary needs can be catered for. * Buses run regularly from the town, which is a short walk away. Taxis can easily be ordered from the guesthouse. * Most mobile phone networks work in this area.
