Llanberis Miners Path at Llanberis - Snowdon

The Miners’ Track to Llyn Glaslyn was built during the last century to serve the Britannia Copper Mines. The track to the lake is still almost a road, and though eroded in some places, nevertheless provides an exciting and safe mountain walk for people with little experience of mountains. The path beyond Llyn Glaslyn to the summit is considerably steeper and can be a serious undertaking, particularly in winter. The route to the summit is 4 miles (8 miles return).

The walk starts at the Pen y Pass car park on the A4086 5 miles south east of Llanberis, if this is full you can park your car in the free car park at Nant Peris, only three miles down the Llanberis road, and, during the season, catch a Sherpa bus back up to Pen y Pass to start your walk.
