Details
Nant Gwrtheyrn Centre is a Welsh Language Centre providing Welsh for Adults courses, located in a listed Victorian quarry village. The new exhibition in the Heritage Centre interprets the development of this unique site as well as the history of the Welsh language. Visit the quarryman's cottage to see what life would have been like for a quarrying family in 1910.
The centre offers accommodation for 58 guests in 4* en-suite rooms with four 4* self catering cottage to sleep a further 18 and a new function room offering a fantastic venue for weddings and conferences.
Visit the homely café for home cooked meals or snacks or explore the site's private beach, coastal and woodland walks. A new road allows coach access and car parking(up to 80 vehicles) is provided in the village.

A new function room with a terrace offering sea views can cater for 150 for formal dining/weddings or 200 for a concert and up to 300 for a party or event. Site facilities include a chapel with a heritage exhibition, a period quarryman's cottage and conference facilities. Children welcome from any age.

Public Transport - The nearest bus-stop is in the village of Llithfaen (1.5 miles from the site) with local taxis available for hire.
The nearest railway stations are at Bangor (approximately 26 miles distance) and Pwllheli (approximately 10 miles distance).
By car - Nant Gwrtheyrn is 1.5 miles from the village of Llithfaen - 4 miles from Nefyn and 4 miles from the main Caernarfon - Pwllheli road.
From Caernarfon: Follow the A499 towards Pwllheli, looking out for the brown Nant Gwrtheyrn directional signs as you approach Llanaelhaearn. Turn off the A499 at Llanaelhaearn towards Nefyn (B4417). Having reached the village of Llithfaen, turn right at the crossroads opposite the shop. Follow this road for 1.5 miles past houses on the right and a car park on the left before the road becomes narrow and descends into the valley.
From Porthmadog: Follow the A497 towards Criccieth. Drive through Cricieth and past the village of Llanystumdwy. Turn right off the A497 past Llanystumdwy towards Chwilog (B4354). Follow this road until you come to the village of Y Ffôr, turn right at the crossroads towards Llanaelhaearn (A499). At Llanaelhaearn, look out for the brown Nant Gwrtheyrn directional signs and turn left towards Nefyn (B4417). Having reached the village of Llithfaen turn right at the crossroads opposite the shop. Follow this road for 1.5 miles past houses on the right and a car park on the left before the road becomes narrow and descends into the valley.
